Cub Scout Pack 881
Parker, Colorado, United States
Pack 881 was chartered as a cub scout pack on April 29, 2008. However, the idea for this new pack was born long before then. Two moms with 4 boys in cub scouts felt a real need for their sons to be in a cub scout pack based out of their own school and approached the principal at Frontier Valley with their plan. The first order of business was finding a charter organization to represent them. Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church graciously filled that void. Troop 88, also based at PEPC was instrumental in providing support, advice and older boy scouts to assist with the very first "Join Night." One by one volunteers filled in the necessary gaps where they needed to be filled. The hope was to register 20 boys within the first year. Fifty boys were registered with Pack 881 with seven dens/patrols. Most of all Pack 881 has great kids, great families and great fun.

Pinewood Derby

Pinewood Derby

The race has officially begun.  Rules are posted on this website.

We have two divisions this year.

1) Open Class: anybody may register and enter a car built.  The car must meet all rules and specifications for cub scouts.  Cost is $5 and includes the car kit.

2) Anything Goes:  anybody may register and enter a car built.  The race includes a loop at the end of the track. The only rules apply to car width, height, length and wheel base.  Other than that anything goes (except engines, of course).  Cost is $5 and includes the car kit or you may choose to race one you already own.  Should be interesting.

Car Check-in

January 21, 2012

1:00 - 5:00 pm PEPC garage

Cars will be impounded until race day.  You must check your car in by 5:00 or it will not be allowed to race.  Arrangements can be made for prior check in if needed.  Good luck to all who enter and may the fastest car win.
